Rakesh Maria, who was removed as Mumbai's police chief today, will continue to head the investigation into the Sheena Bora case, the Maharashtra government has announced. Last night, Mr Maria told reporters that DNA tests had conclusively established that Sheena Bora, 24, was the daughter of Indrani Mukerjea, one of three people arrested for the murder that has transfixed India over the last fortnight.
