Advocate Avnish Sikka, representing Murli Projects Pvt. Ltd., reacted after the Delhi High Court upheld the Sessions Court's order in the cheque bounce case involving actor Rajpal Yadav. Speaking to ANI, Sikka said, "Today, the cases filed by Rajpal Yadav were reserved for orders. As per the Delhi High Court judgment, all 21 cases filed by Rajpal Yadav have been dismissed, and the order passed by the Sessions Court has been upheld. The court has directed him to undergo imprisonment for a period of three months. He has also been directed to pay a fine of Rs 1.05 crore in each case. The sentence of three months' imprisonment will run concurrently." He further stated that Rajpal Yadav's wife, Radha Rajpal Yadav, who was also an accused in the matter, has been directed to pay a fine of Rs 5 lakh in each case. According to Sikka, the court rejected a plea seeking probation and took note of the repeated violation of undertakings allegedly given before the court. The advocate added that the High Court has granted Rajpal Yadav two months' time to either comply with the order or challenge the sentence before the Supreme Court.
