In today's episode of India Global, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has proposed a new round of peace talks with Ukraine to be held in Istanbul on June 2. This follows a failed attempt earlier this month, when both sides left without agreement on a ceasefire. Lavrov said Moscow expects a formal response from Kyiv and stressed that Russia is prepared to discuss all points of a potential ceasefire agreement. The proposal comes days after President Vladimir Putin spoke with his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump, who has been pushing for a diplomatic resolution to end Europe's deadliest conflict since World War II. There's been no official response from Ukraine yet, but Moscow has said that both sides have agreed to bring their own versions of a potential settlement plan to the table. NDTV's Gaurie Dwivedi speaks with Research Assistant, ORF Rajoli Siddharth to discuss this and more.
