Protest In Karnataka's Dharmasthala Over Allegations Of Secret Mass Burials
A group of people marched towards Dharmasthala in Karnataka. Demanding justice for Sowjanya, who was found dead near the temple town over a decade ago. The people marching towards Dharmasthala were stopped before entering the area by a few people, and this led to a standoff between the two groups. The police arrived at the scene and they have been taken away by the police to diffuse the situation. After rising public pressure over claims made by a sanitation worker, the Karnataka government has finally constituted a Special Investigation Team to investigate chilling allegations of mass graves, disappearances, and crimes against women.
