Under the Centre's Swachh Survekshan 2023, Indore won the cleanest city award for the sixth straight year. Indore, Madhya Pradesh's most populous city, has been named the cleanest city of India because of its well-planned waste segregation, conversion, and disposal through its public private participation model.
