Prashant Kishor: Removing Gyanesh Kumar Alone Won't Restore Trust In Election Commission

Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor has renewed his criticism of the Election Commission, saying the concerns go beyond Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and involve the broader functioning and transparency of the poll panel. Referring to reported internal differences within the ECI, Kishor called for greater transparency in electoral rolls, election scheduling and the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct. He also questioned former CEC Rajiv Kumar's appointment as HDFC Bank chairman after retirement.
