Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed world leaders to the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam, holding nine bilateral meetings with seven heads of state and two global CEOs. Among those attending were UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, Sri Lanka President Anura Kumara Disanayaka, Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and several other global leaders. Modi held discussions on technology, innovation, connectivity and economic partnerships, including meetings with Google CEO Sundar Pichai and investor Vinod Khosla. The Summit, running from February 16–20, has brought together over 500 global AI leaders, 150 academicians and 400 technology executives. The event, themed ‘Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay’, focuses on AI governance, inclusion, economic growth and innovation. Modi is set to address the Leaders’ Plenary and participate in a CEO roundtable, as India positions itself as a global hub for artificial intelligence.
