Gujarat Bypoll Result: BJP Wins Manjalpur Again, Congress Fails to Break 36-Year Stronghold

The BJP has retained the Majjalpur Assembly seat in Vadodara for the ninth consecutive time, reinforcing its dominance in urban Gujarat despite a low voter turnout of just 37%. The bypoll was necessitated by the demise of veteran BJP leader Yogesh Patel, popularly known as Yogesh Kaka, who represented the constituency for decades. BJP fielded Satish Patel, a cooperative sector leader and former Vadodara Municipal Corporation Standing Committee Chairman, while the Congress nominated senior leader Bikabhai Rabari.
