PM Modi Reduces Convoy Vehicles, Calls For Fuel Saving Measures
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ordered a reduction in the number of vehicles in his convoy as part of a nationwide fuel conservation push. Sources say the PM has also called for greater use of EVs in convoys and encouraged carpooling, public transport, virtual meetings and reduced fuel consumption. Several BJP-ruled states, including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi, have begun cutting convoy sizes and limiting official travel in response to the PM's appeal.
