Prime Minister Narendra Modi held key business meetings in Kuala Lumpur, engaging with global industry leaders to strengthen India’s technology and investment footprint. Among them was Phison CEO KS Pua, who praised the Prime Minister’s ambitious vision to build a world-class semiconductor ecosystem in India. Speaking after the meeting, KS Pua said he was deeply impressed by PM Modi’s commitment to developing India’s chip industry, emphasising that Phison’s plans go beyond just setting up a factory. He highlighted the company’s intent to transfer technology, train Indian talent in silicon design, firmware, software, and AI solutions, and help create a self-sustaining local semiconductor cluster in the coming years.
