PM Modi Imposing ‘Undeclared Emergency’, Says Kharge; Opposition To Meet CJI Tomorrow

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has accused the Modi government of creating an “undeclared emergency”, alleging that citizens’ fundamental rights, freedom of movement and freedom of speech are under threat. Kharge criticised the restrictions imposed during protests, accused the government of suppressing youth voices and raised concerns over the independence of the Election Commission. He also said he had sought a meeting with the Chief Justice of India to raise these issues.
