Anton Devcich, recalled for the ODI series against India, wants to seal a regular spot in the New Zealand playing XI. Devcich averages just 19.96 in 10 ODIs with 177 runs in nine innings and a high score of 58. A solid one-day campaign for the Northern Knights, he made 368 runs at an average of 52.57, including four half-centuries, backed up by a stint in the Caribbean Premier League in July and August, have set up Devcich nicely for the five-match series in India starting in Dharamsala on October 16.
