Lakshmi has her tribal roots in West Bengal and hails from Gopalpur village in Jhargram district. She lives with her husband and two children. The West Bengal Tribal Development Cooperative Corporation along with Indus Integrated Information Management Limited and USHA International provided stitching and embroidery training to many like Lakshmi and created sustained livelihood generation through self-employment.
