In an exclusive interview with NDTV Profit, Mr Deepak Parekh, chairman of HDFC, says there is a definite need for the real estate industry to have a regulator as there are no rules and regulation in the sector. He also adds that the exorbitant real estate prices are due to demand outstripping the supply.
