30th January 2023, is the day for awareness about Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). NTDs are widespread in the world's poorest regions where water safety, sanitation and access to health care need better attention. NDTV's campaign, Banega Swasth India, travelled to Uttar Pradesh's eastern border district called Deoria to track down the prevalent Kala Azar infections in this region.
