The World Health Organisation is trying to give a seal of approval to some of the good quality test kits needed to detect Coronavirus in patients, health body's chief scientist Soumya Swaminathan told NDTV.
"What WHO is trying to do is to pre-qualify or to give a mark of approval for some of those kits which are of good quality and you know, they have to go through a process of testing even diagnostic test, but you still need to take it to a process of of testing in the lab to assure its accuracy and sensitivity and specificity," Ms Swaminathan said.
