US President Donald Trump said Iran’s leadership is “very confused” and “not getting along,” claiming internal divisions are making negotiations difficult. Speaking before leaving the White House for Florida, Trump said one Iranian leader says one thing while another says something else, adding that he is “not happy” with the ongoing talks. Trump said the US still has options in dealing with Iran, including military action or a negotiated settlement, though he added he would prefer not to use force “on a human basis.” He also dismissed the War Powers Act as “unconstitutional” as pressure grows for him to seek Congressional approval for further military action against Iran.
