Showdown Over SIR: DMK Unites Allies, BJP Hits Back

The showdown over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Tamil Nadu has escalated, with the ruling DMK leading an all-party front against the Election Commission's exercise. Chief Minister MK Stalin chaired a meeting in Chennai where 46 out of 64 invited parties joined and passed a resolution urging the poll body to halt the SIR, calling it “anti-democratic” and a ploy to snatch voting rights.
