The Indian Navy plans to set up its second base at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh that could take care of several strategic interests on the East Coast. "We have recently acquired 5,000 acres for the Navy, for them to set up an alternate Naval Base Centre,'' said K Ramakrishna, Incharge Minister, Visakhapatnam.
