One of this year's Padma Shri winner is a mango-grower from Uttar Pradesh, he is known for growing 300 varieties of mango on a single tree. Kallimulla Khan had inherited a mango plantation from his father. Later Khan began experimenting with hybridization. Famous for his work, he was offered to settle and work in Iran, to which he refused. He does not wish to leave Malihabad, where his family has grown mangoes for generations.
