The killing of an Indian student in the US state of North Carolina does not appear to be a case of ''gang violence'', police said, as senior Indian Embassy officials are travelling to his university on Monday to meet the authorities and make arrangements for sending his body home.Abhijit Mahato, a 29-year-old graduate student at America's Duke University, was shot in an apartment complex in North Carolina.
