While many private hospitals and clinics have been charging patients hefty amounts, Dr Victor Emmanuel, Hyderabad-based doctor has been treating the poor with Rs 10 as a consultation fee. Dr Emmanuel who runs Prajwala Clinics in Hyderabad has been charging Rs 10 for the last 12 years and said that his mission is to provide quality healthcare to the poor and the needy at the lowest possible price. As a token of appreciation for the work that they do, the doctor does not charge any consultation fee from farmers and soldiers.
