In 20 days, the cabinet will consider a note or resolution that details how Telangana will be carved out of Andhra Pradesh to make it India's 29th state, Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said today. Sources say that the ministry is considering a proposal to convert the IT hub of Hyderabad into a Union Territory; so far, the government has said that it will be a shared capital between the old and new state for 10 years, with it resting with Telangana after that.
