Dr Maitri Chand, Marriage and Family Therapist said during the Dove #StopTheBeautyTest Telethon that prejudice and discrimination based on physical attributes starts from childhood and so many individuals grow up with traumatic experiences right from their young age. Dr Chand affirmed that changes in beauty stereotypes can be brought about at an individual level, family level as well as at an institutional level.
