It is estimated that there are over 50-100 million cases of dengue worldwide each year and three billion people living in dengue-endemic countries. About 70 per cent of the world's dengue cases are found in Asia, and India alone accounts for 34 percent of the total. This year, Delhi has already recorded the highest number of cases in the last five years. Is there a class divide in treating dengue?
