Delhi's air quality continued to deteriorate as it inched towards "severe" category on Wednesday. The cancer-causing PM 2.5 pollutant remains at hazardous levels in parts of the national capital. The air quality has worsened as wind speed in the city dropped. The weather office has predicted that the wind speed will likely pick up from Thursday, resulting in improved air quality.
