West Bengal's Chief Minister and Governor were asked today to end a very public quarrel over communal tension in the state's North 24 Parganas district. For the moment there is a tense calm in Basirhat in Bengal as four companies of BSF forces patrol the streets which have seen communal clashes that were originally triggered by an offensive Facebook post five days ago.
