C Chandramouli, Census Commissioner, Registrar General of India, speaks to NDTV and discusses highs and lows of Census 2011. According to the census, India now has 1.21 billion people. Even though the population growth has dropped by nearly 4% in the last decade, the country's headcount is almost equal to the combined population of the US, Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan, and Bangladesh put together.
