The National Advisory Council's new guidelines on land acquisitions are meant to put an end to land wars, but it seems like a clause in the New Land Acquisition Bill may lead to a fresh battle. It says the government will acquire 100 per cent land for all big projects by private players and private players won't be allowed to buy land directly for big projects.
