The new 2nd generation Volvo XC90 is based on the new scalable product architecture or SPA, which is a modular strategy that will spawn a host of products. Volvo had to get it right with the XC90, and to a large extent it has. The car is lithe, athletic, relatively green and very good looking. We review its T8 hybrid and D5 diesel avatars.
