“Penisgate”: Ski Jumping’s Alleged Suit Scandal Raises Questions at Winter Olympics

A bizarre and controversial allegation dubbed “Penisgate” has emerged as one of the most talked-about stories around elite ski jumping this Winter Olympics season. According to a report by German newspaper Bild, some ski jumpers may have attempted to manipulate pre-competition suit measurements by temporarily enlarging the groin area to gain an aerodynamic edge. The report claims that injections using substances such as paraffin or hyaluronic acid could cause short-term swelling, allowing athletes to increase the surface area of their skin-tight suits. Even marginal changes in suit size can significantly impact lift and drag during flight, potentially adding several metres to a jump. NDTV's Yasharth Rai reports.
