Odisha Orangutan | Rare Rescue In Odisha: 5 Baby Orangutans Found In Forest, Shifted To Zoo
Five baby orangutans, including three males and two females, have been rescued from Ranakatha forest in Odisha's Balasore district and shifted to Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar for quarantine and observation. The orangutans, all under one year old, were found near Barpai village — far outside their natural habitat. Forest officials said they were alerted by a VSS member on September 8 and later confirmed that the animals were orangutans.
