NVIDIA AI | Dayananda Sagar University Partners With NVIDIA To Build India's 1st Academic AI Factory

At the NDTV AI Summit 2026, D. Premachandra Sagar, Pro Chancellor of Dayananda Sagar University, announced the launch of India’s first Academic AI Factory in collaboration with Nvidia.

Powered by 20 Nvidia B200 Blackwell nodes delivering 160 GPUs and massive compute capability, the facility aims to enable students to train large-scale AI models, build DSU GPT, and move beyond AI consumption to AI creation.

The initiative will integrate AI with robotics, AR/VR, cybersecurity (via cyber range partnerships), digital twin technology, and interdisciplinary education across law, medicine, engineering, and management.

Sagar emphasized democratizing AI access for nearly 40,000 students, particularly in tier-2 institutions, positioning India as a global AI creator rather than just a consumer.
