"Not a Conquest, a Liberation’: Israel, US Defend Gaza Plan Amid Global Criticism

Israel Gaza War Update | Israeli Deputy UN Representative Brett Miller defended Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Gaza plan, as multiple nations voiced unified condemnation of Tel Aviv's plans to expand its military operations in the enclave. "This is not a conquest. Israel has no plans or desire to permanently occupy Gaza. This is liberation from a brutal terror regime," Miller said during a UN Security Council emergency session on Monday. He insisted that the plan approved by Israel's Security Cabinet is "the only way to ensure a better future for Israelis and Palestinians alike". He stressed: "This is the path to stability. This is the path to peace."
