Having already banned as many as eight items including rice and wheat, the Government today ruled out any plans to ban futures trading in more agri products even as the Manmohan Singh regime is all set to not import wheat this year. The government's confidence comes close on heels of officials estimation that the local procurement of the foodgrain will reach 20 million tonnes against the target of 15 million tones, according to country’s Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar.
