The political turmoil within the Trinamool Congress has intensified after expelled MLA Sandipan Saha alleged that signatures collected for attendance at a meeting were later used in a resolution concerning key opposition posts. Saha claimed that names of some MLAs who were not present were also included, prompting concerns about the process followed within the party. He further alleged that there was little scope for dialogue with the leadership and defended the decision of rebel legislators to back Ritabrata Banerjee as Leader of the Opposition through what he described as a democratic process.
