How much of politics and social sensitivities have the right to dictate the agenda of a movie? Shouldn't art be not just beyond politics but also beyond political correctness? Prakash Jha's yet to be released Aarakshan has already run into a string of controversies. The UP government has not allowed the cast and crew to promote the film in the state. The head of the National Commission of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes has called the film anti-Dalit - and this is a film that has already been cleared by the Censor Board.
