80 Medical Staff Test Positive At Delhi Hospital

India recorded 4,03,738 fresh Covid cases and 4,092 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the overall caseload to 2.22 crore. This is the fifth time in a week that the country has reported over 4 lakh daily infections. Around 80 medical personnel and a surgeon at Delhi's Saroj Super Speciality Hospital have tested positive over the last month. Dr AK Rawat, a surgeon who was vaccinated, died of Covid on Saturday. He was 58. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has extended the lockdown in the city by another week, making restrictions stricter. Even the metro services have been stopped this time. The lockdown will be on till 5 am on May 17.
