He is the boy from Amristsar who says he learnt to cook from his 'biji', his grandmother, and now he is a four-time Michelin-starred chef. Vikas Khanna is the man on whom fell the onerous task of feeding not just Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but more than 40 American CEOs, worth more than $4.5 trillion. In this stirring interview, he tells NDTV why he will always remain an Indian and about his journey from standing in line at a homeless shelter in New York for food to now feeding the heads of state, including US President Barack Obama.
