Salman Rushdie's story: The fatwa years

In an exclusive interview to NDTV, author Salman Rushdie says the Anti-Islam online video that has triggered violence in several countries is 'disgusting' but it's 'even more disgusting to kill people in its name.' He also says that India is a more intolerant country today, than when it first gained independence. From attacks on art galleries to recent sedition cases against cartoonists, Mr Rushdie says India is no longer Nehur's country. Nehru was a liberal, he says, who always argued against government censorship. (Read entire transcript here.)
