Amid a sustained civil society campaign demanding the National Register of Citizens in Manipur, the BJP led government has laid down a massive plan for the detection of alleged illegal immigrants in the state. Talking exclusively to NDTV, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that his government has already approached the Centre to order citizenship exercise in the state.
