Days after Law Minister Kiren Rijiju criticised the collegium system of appointing judges and warned that the government won't stay silent forever, two former Supreme Court judges have hit back. Justice Madan Lokur told NDTV the government is the one delaying appointments and cautioned that it may "decimate" the collegium if it doesn't reform. Justice Deepak Gupta said the government is holding the collegium to ransom.
