The Yamuna is flowing over a metre above the danger mark in Delhi, but the government insists there's no reason for alarm over flood-like situation. The overflow has severely affected transport, and East Delhi's Old Yamuna Bridge has been closed for both rail and road traffic since 3 am on Wednesday. Delhizens have been asked to keep away from the river's waters, and people living along the banks have been evacuated.
