More than 2,000 women have been taking turns to sit on the road in the biting cold in south Delhi's Okhla area against the Citizenship law. Some of the women stay back overnight to ensure police do not clear the area. Hundreds of women began a sit-in protest on December 15. People from nearby areas also visit the protest site from time to time. People who commute between Delhi and Noida via Kalindi Kunj, will have to suffer huge and time consuming traffic jams till the protests continue at Shaheen Bagh.
