"Welcome Decision": Ex Chief Election Commissioner On Supreme Court Order

The Supreme Court today said Election Commissioners will be appointed by a panel including the Prime Minister, the Leader of Opposition and the Chief Justice of India. "It's a welcome decision that now the government will be forced to either make a law or to follow the collegium system as prescribed by the Supreme Court and this will enhance the impartial status of the election watchdog, said former Chief Election Commissioner.
