Acting Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW) Yasmeen Abrar told NDTV that they visited Bhatta-Parsaul solely keeping in mind reports of alleged atrocities on women. She further said that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, being a woman herself, should empathise with the plight of the women in the said villages.
