Ahead of the fifth phase of polling across 12 Uttar Pradesh districts, the state government claimed that the problem of stray cattle is a minor one and that cattle are not roaming on roads or in fields. The government's version is contrary to reports by NDTV and other media that suggest this is a big problem for farmers. Alok Pandey spoke to voters in Amethi who said this is a big issue for them.
