UN Human Rights Chief Visits Rafah Border Crossing

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on Wednesday paid a visit to the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip. After touring the closed facility, Volker Turk said the crossing represented the "gates to a living nightmare" in the Gaza Strip, adding that reopening the border would provide Palestinians with "a symbolic lifeline".
