The real woes of Karnataka

The focus of the Karnataka elections so far has largely been on Bangalore and the problems of the IT city. However, after travelling 400 to 500 km out of Bangalore, one can discover that the travails are entirely different in the rest of Karnataka. For Wadawatti village in Raichur district, Bangalore is indeed a long distance away in every possible sense. At election time, the divide between Bangalore's 'haves' and Karnataka's 'have-nots' only seems to grow.
