NDTV spoke with Iran's Ambassador to India Dr Iraj Elahi who said 16 seamen, who were on the seized ship, are on board the vessel and have not been detained. "They are under the command of their captain. They can leave the Iranian waters if they want to and if their captain allows. Only the vessel was stopped. The seamen are free and they can leave easily," he said. Listen in.
